Jordan Peele directed a new movie call "Us" and he released the full trailer on Christmas Day. The movie "Us" is being released thru Universal Pictures. Lupita Nyongo plays the role of Mom in the movie trailer. In this video I will explain and breakdown each scene from the movie trailer "Us" and there are some easter egg spoilers towards the end. Jordan Peele also directed the movie "Get Out." Over all I loved the trailer for the movie "Us" Watch until the end for the surprise

The black man being out of rhythm was a clue and the smaller girl choking the taller girl even though they were the same person. the boy wearing the mask might have died in an accident and was replaced by the clone that wears the mask for fun. It kind of has a pet cemetery tone to it and rabbits are associated with wiccan.

I think she symbolizes a white woman lol. There are surely gonna be a ton of underlying themes and I can't wait to see it.

Brother Walton: Some quick thoughts - I’ll start with horror nods and then get into theories after. 1) Homage - Everyone seen the old school horror shirts like Jaws, Thriller that the son and young Lupita wore. The other horror nods are the white family on the beach had a kid in overalls similar to Chucky. The son’s name is Jason and wears a mask. The red shirt and brown-gloved hand are similar to Freddy Krueger. 2) Subtle Hints of Duality/Cloning - The reflecting shadows as the family walked along the beach, the scissors, and the rabbits all evident of two sides and all that good stuff. 3) Theory - As pointed out in a breakdown already, the family we see in red hold opposite traits to their counterpart. Lupita does little smiling in the trailer compared to her other self who smiles all the time. The dad seems easygoing and jokes a lot, as seen with the first confrontation with the bat, but his other self seems angry and hardened. The son seems to ask a lot of questions and does a lot of wandering off, but his other self literally does not have a mouth. The younger sister seems like she’s into her looks and whatnot, but the other self is very care-free and dirty looking. Maybe they are suppressions that are coming to life? Maybe Lupita had something happened when she was younger since they are visiting her childhood home. Also, there’s a shot of the family in red as they stand in front of the main characters and I noticed the framing of the empty chair as they stood...as if there is suppose to be a fifth family member? 4) Other Characters - The guy that played Black Mantis and Cadillac in The Get Up has a role in the film, but was not in the trailer. Maybe he has something to do with the mischief? The young lady that plays Starfire in Teen Titans is also in the film. Could be another player.

67. Kiwi The Beauty: Ok so I watched the trailer a few times and I caught more clues. The movie trailer obvious “weapon” of choice is ✂️. Scissors are made to cut...I don’t think they are cutting people up like we think they are. Maybe they are “splitting” the person. Scissors are made to cut or split things. Maybe the scissors is a symbol of cutting personality and making a whole person into two (like bi-polar or schizophrenia). Also scissors have two double side Ovals which can kind of correlate to the inkblot original movie poster with the two opposing heads inklings hinting to a mental illness. This movie is about doubles and splitting possibly of personality (I keep saying clone but maybe their aren’t really two physical people per person maybe it’s in their heads). The red people could just be representation of their inner selves they aren’t real people it’s their psychotic side. Also this is a part in the trailer where Lupita “other version” is in a classroom with a bunch of stick figures together. Her double person is holding up construction paper of two spit people figures. If you fold construction paper in half and draw a figure and cut around it, it makes a whole unit. When you open it, it makes two figures (or more depending how many times you fold it) and they are connected. Lupitas other person/clone looks like she “split” the construction paper apart. Also pay attention to the chalkboard behind her, it’s a bunch of people figure that look conjoined and drawed multiple times unsplit. She looks like she is trying to teach her something in the classroom. I have a funny feeling this family is going to “kill” themselves but rather influence them? Even though they are split, maybe the evil family has some kind of “mind control” over how the other family operates. Because it’s all in your mind. You can only kill/hurt yourself. That’s why Lupitas evil/clone character says “Be Careful”. The higher self verses the lower self. The watch yourself slogan is a warning to all of us we have two sides and if we get out of control we can sink into our lower self. One more thing. On the beach when the boy finds a person in red in a scarecrow stance bloody, it’s not their other family it’s a blonde. It’s not a black persons.Could it be the family member’s blonde woman friend’s lady evil/lower self? One more theory I could be wrong the random little girl, could that be Lupita at a young age and these are flashback scenes? She has big eyes just like Lupita does when she gets scared. I don’t see the little girl in the same scenes as the family so I am assume these are Lupitas flashbacks of her as a child, her psychosis splitting even as a little girl. Maybe Lupita was diagnosed as a little girl as bipolar/schizo and had to go to therapy or eventually go to a psych ward and they did “test” or experiment on her to fix her split mind. Now he family is involved somehow and need help how to reverse it (I might be digging too deep but it could be). Also something is up with the little boy. He is wearing a mask on top of his head as his regular self but his “psychotic self” either has a mask fully on or he wears the half mask. Also he is just too damn calm for a black boy in this film. Everyone is scared he is chill...he might be crazy crazy already (hereditary).

I typed in Google "Gold Scissors Symbolism" and found this. "In general, scissors are an ambiguous symbol. They refer to cutting a life thread, but they also represent the union of spiritual and physical. ... Silver scissors means a wedding ahead, while gold scissors omens an inheritance and pleasure." I see the scissors as a symbol for the clones cutting off the thread, a connection of oneself??? idk just a thought.

172. Denise '15: OMG, your breakdown is the best so far. I was wondering why it was released during Christ-mas. I thought about the "Christos" or the crystallising of self and the kundalini energy. I also, said the same thing about the rabbits representing a rabbit-hole. The masks and mirrors represent duality or the higher and lower self(Good vs. Evil). I think lupita's character has way more to do with what's going on(maybe she is Alice in wonderland), the little girl in the thriller shirt is the younger version of her. Also the crazy house scene and the images of the inkblot test, further reassure me that there is definitely something going on concerning psychological issues in this film.

242. Emerald Williams: Here's my theory and clues I came up with: Everything is Adelaide's fault. 1) Why isn't the mother driving? In the attack of possibly the Tethered daughter, the real daughter is seen in the driver's seat. She doesn't look young enough to drive, but hey, she could possibly 16-18 years old. 2) Adelaide's paranoia of losing Jason seemed off to me. This may be a stretch, but I believe she was scared that he was about to walk in Merlin's Forest for she had a bad experience there at a young age. 3) Adelaide's clone tells her to "Be careful." Okay, be careful of what? That my own evil doppleganger is trying to kill me? The phrase is very ambiguous at this point, but maybe the clone is foreshadowing her untethering with the truth about everything that's going on? 4) Mama has been snapping off beat in the beginning of the trailer... It would sound like she's snapping on the beats 1 and 3 instead of 2 and 4, but after trying to clap out beats one and three with 'I Got 5 on It', she's totally off beat. Something is 'off' about Adelaide and her life. 5) Her favorite color seems to be white... The color white signifies purity, cleanliness, and sometimes holiness... What is she trying to purify herself of? Conclusion: The young girl in the MJ Thriller t-shirt has been confirmed to being young Adelaide, the mother. Adelaide went inside Merlin's Forest on the boardwalk and somehow met a Tethered version of herself (Peele confirmed the clones to be named the Tethered, hence all of the clones having scissors to 'untether' themselves from their counterparts). After her experience in Merlin's Forest, the clone took the real Adelaide's place and lived as her until the present time of the movie. Notice how she (Adelaide's clone) told the daughter "Put your shoes on," possibly foreshadowing that she knew what was going to happen. The real Adelaide uses her clone family to kill them and assume her old life again. Another reason I believe this is when Jason (the son) went to explore amongst the boardwalk and saw the mysterious figure, on Merlin's Forest it had a fox, the common predator for rabbits. The rabbits fit the supernatural theory since they are associated with magic, but also signifies fertility, life, and also cloning (since rabbits do reproduce quickly). I can pretty much assume for whoever steps into that exhibit will create a clone from magic mirrors.
